Welcome to PyConKE! By accessing or using our website, services, or attending our conference, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

  • "Event" refers to the PyConKE conference or any other monthly gathering of the PyNBO community.
  • "We", "Us", "Our" refers to the PyConKE organizing team.
  • "You", "Your" refers to the attendee, speaker, sponsor, or any user of the website or services.

2. Eligibility

Participation in PyConKE is open to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds. By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian to attend.
  • The information you provide during registration is accurate and up-to-date.

3. Registration and Tickets

  • Your registration or ticket grants you access to conference sessions, keynotes, and applicable workshops.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless explicitly approved by the organizers.
  • Cancellations must be requested at least 14 days before the event to be eligible for a refund, subject to a processing fee.

4. Code of Conduct

We are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers. By attending PyConKE, you agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct. Violations may result in removal from the event without refund.


5. Intellectual Property

  • All materials presented at the conference, including talks, slides, and workshops, are the intellectual property of their respective creators unless otherwise stated.
  • You may not record, distribute, or reproduce any part of the event without prior written permission from the organizers or the respective content owner.

6. Liability

  • We strive to ensure a safe and successful event but are not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the event.
  • We are not responsible for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by factors beyond our control, such as natural disasters or technical issues.

7. Privacy

8. Event Changes

9. Sponsorship and Exhibitor Policies

Sponsors and exhibitors must adhere to the guidelines set forth by PyConKE to maintain a professional and inclusive environment. We reserve the right to remove any sponsor or exhibitor who violates these guidelines.


10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
